The Senior Analyst, Consumer Insights works directly with cross-functional teams and business leads, including Product Directors. The position is responsible for helping frame projects and give direction to outside research partners and help the Insights Manager build and maintain research tools and processes. The position supports multiple business units and product categories, balancing multiple priorities, proactively escalating any bandwidth/resource issues to manager.
Passion for identifying meaningful customer problems and unmet needs. Able to "connect-the-dots" and unearth relevant insights via deep analysis of multiple data sources/types.
Fundamental understanding of secondary and primary research methodologies and statistical modeling methods: understanding trade-offs and usage scenarios for each. Design custom surveys and questionnaires via tools like Qualtrics or similar. Understand sample sizing and recruiting principles including, screening criteria, incidence rates, margin of error, and confidence level.
Help support or some cases lead research projects with partner agencies including: Creating research briefs via internal stakeholder interviews and reviewing agency proposals, detailed review of agency survey/questionnaire designs, helping compile/organize/format needed stimuli including concept renderings, prototypes, concept statements, etc., and oversee project budget and timelines
Able to distill large of amounts of information into concise, visually impactful insights presentations. Leverages advanced data visualization, infographic, and story-telling tools as needed. Strong attention to detail, taking pride in creating clean, well-designed presentation formatting. Basic video editing, creating interview highlight reels.
Maintain Zurn Elkay's digital research library. Catalog all existing research and update with new research, ensuring access and training to those that need it. Help other team members search database and create customized, topic-based research dossiers as needed.
Create and present trend reports via analysis of secondary resources: identifying recurring themes for relevant societal, lifestyle, market, and economic trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of industry experience in Market Research, Consumer Insights/Trends, or a similar role
Bachelor's degree in market research, design research, psychology, economics, anthropology, data analytics, or a related field
Master's degree is a plus
Research experience on both client and agency side is a plus
Experience with both B2B and B2C a plus
Excellent verbal and visual presentation skills for reporting or creating research stimuli. Basic image/video editing skills, image searching, generating and sourcing infographics.
Deep understanding of primary research methodologies including trade-offs and usage scenarios of each.
Software: PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau
Versatile, works well with multiple personality types and across various levels and departments

Detail Oriented while not losing sight of big-picture
