Job Description
Engineer at Zscaler is a developer responsible for writing frameworks and tools to test products. It is a very unique and challenging role and provides immense opportunity to design and develop wide-reaching tools. It combines the "building" aspect of software design engineering with the "breaking" aspect of software test engineering. You'll be writing code that automatically verifies the quality of the product. That means that you potentially write more code than the developers.
Qualifications
Basic Qualification:

• Minimum 6 years of working on systems, or/and distributed systems with a focus on networking/firewall technologies, and cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of AWS or similar cloud computing platforms
• Knowledge of virtual environments like OVA, Docker containers, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of build automation framework.
• Hands-on experience in Python or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with Open source tools and technologies, code repos.
• Strong Unix/Linux OS experience
• Good to have an understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack, HTTP, TLS, PKI and other related
• protocols and products (DNS, DHCP, VPN, HA, routing and switching)
• Good to have Understanding of security technologies like firewall, IPS, Authentication,VPN
• Demonstrates reasonable expertise in software development and development automation
• Working experience with REST APIs.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, a strong team player.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem
• A BS/MS degree in computer science or related field.

Zscaler's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) benefits.
Base Pay Range
$178,500-$200,000 USD
