Zoltek-Toray Group is Hiring a Warehouse Lead - D Shift Near Saint Peters, MO
- Places top priority on all employee’s safety at all times
- Ensures all personnel are utilizing PPE and safety devices
- Frequently visits warehouse associates in work stations to ensure that they are working safely and according to operating instructions
- Responsible for following procedures to ensure safety and quality during handling and storage of product.
- Be knowledgeable about Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety procedures, including emergency plant shut-down, power loss and evacuation procedures.
- Performs training of new personnel as well as ensuring forklift certifications are valid
- Ensures trained and certified personnel are assigned
- Coordinates daily tasks and goals for warehouse personnel with superintendent and warehouse specialist
- Assigns trained personnel to specific tasks
- Maintains FIFO on all raw material and finished goods
- Stages tow and informs warehouse specialist
- Labels and straps shipments to meet customer requirements
- Prepares finished goods for shipment complying with the supplied pallet maps
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Assist with root cause and corrective action
- Inspect/document quality of finished goods in the warehouse.
- Completes crane “every use checks” and paperwork
- Ensures the timely and accurate completion of forklift checklists by all personnel
- Maintains 5S and accurately completes the checklists after verification of tasks have been completed
- Reports any equipment issues immediately to superintendent and maintenance, including removing any unsafe for use equipment until repairs are made
- Responsible for keeping equipment and warehouse clean and well organized
- Dependable (Having 2.5 points or less at the time the job is posted, as well as maintaining 2.5 points or less through the duration of time spent in position)
- 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing
- Forklift certified, trained in crane usage
- Great communication skills
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, Internet
- Handling of carbon fiber causes moderate to severe itchiness.
- Moderately dirty because of materials and machinery handled.
- Excessive fly may be present.
- Good finger and manual dexterity
- Ability to lift, turn, bend, squat, kneel, reach, pull, walk or stand for periods of time
- Ability to tolerate heat and must be able to wear a bump cap, respirator, Tyvek suit, gloves, ear plugs, and other types of PPE as needed
- Ability to tolerate itchy material
- Ability to lift, push, pull, push 50 pounds
