Job SummaryWe are looking for a Revenue Cycle Project Lead to join our team for a third-party Revenue Cycle Management medical billing company. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for problem solving, continuous improvement, learning, and adaptability. The candidate will have a strong desire to learn about the healthcare industry/revenue cycle management. The Revenue Cycle Project Lead will be responsible for documenting procedures, conducts diverse audits, manages billing system configurations, requests payer accesses, oversees claims submissions, and supports compliance efforts, ensuring accurate and efficient revenue cycle management while providing extensive support and insights to enhance reimbursement processes.
Essential Functions- Proficiently document policies and processes, conducts diverse audits (pre-billing CQI, A/R aging, management projects, RCM billing, and collection), and presents concise executive summaries of findings to Golden Hour management.
- Facilitate payer and customer access requests for third party billing staff.
- Process payer enrollment applications to open a gateway for efficient claim submission
- Configure and maintains billing system libraries for new and existing customer implementations.
- Document and record customer interactions in Salesforce
- Oversee electronic claims submission, including payer updates, investigates and corrects claim errors, and reviews daily reports.
- Researchayer-specific claim requirements for new state implementations and existing customer needs.
- Focus on directed collections activities related to payers, accounts, or programs as instructed by management.
- Facilitate RCM system enhancement requests to Engineering.
- Provides support for staff training, new hires, and dissemination of payer update information for RCM.
- Lead RCM software and update implementations, project plans, and special assignments.
- Generate, analyzes and maintain reports as directed by RCM management.
- Assist in analyzing reimbursement reports and offers recommendations for reimbursement enhancements to GH management.
- Implement process documentation and suggests improvements to prevent non-compliant behavior.
- Interface with RCM and customer compliance liaisons to ensure adherence to regulations and contractual obligations.
- Research payer guidelines and state specific requirements for compliant claim submission
- Support compliance initiatives.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience- BA preferred with substitution for experience to include supervisory or direct system experience and/or two years of college level courses.
- 5 years of experience in a combination of medical billing, emergency medical services, proficiency in multiple software with progressive experience and responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
