Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineering Manager with a strong background in Materials Science to lead our sales engineering team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in materials science with excellent communication and leadership skills to drive sales success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of sales engineers, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure team members meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on delivering exceptional customer service and technical solutions.
  • Sales Strategy:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the materials science sector.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align strategies and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Utilize deep knowledge of materials science principles and applications to support sales efforts, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer consultations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and technological advancements to inform sales strategies and product development initiatives.
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and challenges to provide tailored solutions and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams, addressing technical inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth project implementations.
  • Sales Support:
  • Collaborate with sales engineers to prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and presentations to potential and existing customers.
  • Provide technical support during the sales cycle, including product selection, customization, and implementation planning.
  • Performance Analysis:
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous sales growth.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to optimize sales processes, enhance customer experience, and increase sales team efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or a similar role within the materials science industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of materials science principles, materials characterization techniques, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, conferences, and industry events.
