ZLINE’s customer experience is top priority - Everyone hired on as a ZLINE employee will receive1 month of customer experience training before moving into their respective department training. As a successful Technical Writer at ZLINE, you’ll be motivated, passionate, and thrive in the fast-paced culture of a dynamic and evolving company. You’ll have strong writing skills, and the ability to synthesize technical content from an SME and create training materials that clearly explain the topic/task to end users. We like to move quickly and win together, so a self-starter who thrives under pressure and enjoys team success is ideal! 

Job Duties:

• Prepare instruction manuals for a variety of products and disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience

• Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing product content, working closely with our operations, customer experience, and creative departments
• Gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
• Develop content in alternative media forms for max usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all
• Write documentation for internal teams such as developers and programmers

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience as an effective technical writer
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
• Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences
• Experience working with engineering to improve the user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
• Familiarity with Google Suite & MacOS systems

What You’ll Get:

Hours: Monday- Thursday 8:30AM-5:30PM, Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM 

Compensation: $45,000-$70,000 Annually DOE
