What does the job entail?

As a Supplier Quality Manager, you will be leading, inspiring, and setting strategic quality direction for our contract manufacturing partner and a team of Mfg Quality Engineers who ensure quality control and issue prevention throughout the new product introduction, manufacturing, and delivery phases for contract manufacturer operations building our award-winning Monarch Tractor.

Responsibilities:

• Hire, manage, coach, and develop a small team of engineers with the manufacturing quality expertise.
• Set team goals, metrics tracking, and ensure results are achieved towards company objectives.
• Manage a group budget within the wider Quality Department budget.
• Develop Contract Manufacturer Quality Management Strategies that scale with Monarch’s evolving needs including an audit framework, PPAP tracking, issue resolution, chargeback system and capacity management tool.
• Facilitate communication, clarification of technical requirements, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) between the Quality team and other cross functional teams such as Business Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering.
• Provide input on new or alternative materials for improved design, manufacturability, or cost reduction, contribute to should cost models, and lead improvements in scalability, cost, and quality.

More practical skills needed:

• B.S. or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Masters is a plus).
• 7 years of experience developing and launching complex assembly processes.
• Experience in IATF16949 and ISO 9001 type requirements including APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA is required.
• High proficiency in creating/improving Quality Management Systems (QMS) or Supplier Management Strategies.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize information to present at leadership and executive levels.
• Experience interpreting specifications/drawings using Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and conducting a broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques.
• Automotive or agricultural manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, statistical tools (Minitab/JMP), QMS and CAD/PLM systems.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to travel ~10%

This is not a remote position. This will be a position on-site in Warren, Ohio.
