Responsible for performing a variety of quality inspection and functions, to ensure the quality of raw and finished goods in accordance with Quality Management System requirements.

Skills/Qualifications:

• High school diploma (or GED equivalent) required.
• 2 Years’ mechanical/technical background preferred.
• High level of accuracy and attentiveness to details.
• Excellent communication, organizational, mathematical and written English language skills.
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, Power Point) AutoCAD experience a plus.
• Ability to sit or stand for up to an 8-hour shift, bend, crouch, and possess the manual dexterity to grasp and manipulate material.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions Include:

• Reads Job Card/Work Guidance to determine part and/or material requirements & specifications.
• Performs dimensional and visual inspections for incoming materials and outgoing finished goods.
• Performs in-process, dimensional & visual inspections at each machine at the beginning of each production run, the end of each production run, and/or randomly throughout the production process and records results, accordingly.
• Uses a variety of measuring devices to verify material or part conformance to requirements (i.e., calipers, rulers, optical comparator, dial indicators, height gauges, etc.), as well as a visual inspection of appearance/cosmetic requirements.
• Notifies supervisor immediately of any nonconformance.
• Enters final inspection data into computer database.
• Creates DMR (Defective Material Report) for rejected/non-conforming material or parts.
• Monitors and updates Reject PPM chart
• Assists Quality Engineer in various projects as necessary, such as PPAP, First Article Inspection Reports, Capability Studies, etc.
