Plant Manager
This position is responsible for production operations at our 30-person manufacturing facility in Bristol. The Plant Manager will oversee daily activities, production planning week by week, and help guide the longer-term transformation of the business from a small, specialty marine manufacturer to a modern and professionally organized production facility - including the cultural work therein.
The Plant Manager has productivity, expense and staff responsibility, including expense budgets and weekly reporting.
Manufacturing experience is key for success in this job. Zim Sailing builds fiberglass sailboats, aluminum masts, and small parts. We recently migrated to a cloud-based ERP (Acumatica) and have incredible potential to improve our team’s access to information, efficiency of production planning and reporting, and add software automations. The right candidate will bring experience and passion to build out our systems and processes, both digitally and physically for all production and operations.
