Zero Zone is a manufacturer of reach-in and open refrigerated and frozen food display cases as well as the refrigeration systems that work behind the scenes to cool the cases, keeping the food fresh! We also make powerful industrial refrigeration systems for food warehousing, pharmaceuticals, and even ice rinks!

What Will You Do?

Under the direction of the Vice President & General Manager, the Quality Manager will ensure company products meet customer expectations through the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality control processes. The Quality Manager will be responsible for coordinating the Quality Department team in root cause analysis, documentation, and implementing effective corrective actions as well as corresponding with internal and external customers. Some of the essential job functions and duties include the following:

  • Responsible for overall quality (from quote to accepted delivered systems) including controlled documents, processes and procedures, raw materials, and final product to determine quality levels and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Maintaining quality control check points and developing a continuous improvement program to decrease re-work and errors.
  • Create, facilitate, and implement corrective action processes by utilizing field reports, internal correspondence and process audits as well as ensuring closure and communication of results.
  • Participate in customer visits regarding on-site quality resolution and/or quality reviews.
  • Responsible for supplier quality management process.
  • Reviewing test data and interpreting tests and analyses to establish, or rule out, material and process causes and patterns.
  • Confers cross departmentally with Production, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering & Design Engineering teams to resolve product quality concerns.
  • Develops, evaluates, and audits manufacturing methods to maintain quality assurance standards.
  • Create and implement internal training processes.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and/or Certified Quality Degree.
  • Two (2) plus years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Fundamental understanding of ISO requirements/standards.
  • Leadership skills to positively influence and educate others.
  • Highly resourceful and independent worker who is highly motivated to succeed even when setbacks occur.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of company personnel and others at all levels.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and promote a climate of positive employee relations throughout the organization.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with focus on attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in an urgent manner.
  • Effectively establishes and ensures a “team” approach.
