Zermatt Resort is Hiring an Engineering and Housekeeping Supervisor Near Midway, UT
The Engineering and Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for daily supervision of the Engineering and Housekeeping staff with a focus on quality service, guest satisfaction and safety. This individual will act as a bridge between these departments to ensure appropriate communication and organization. They will assist in the assignment and administration of work by utilizing HotSOS and Opera. This role is instrumental in the overall success while creating a cohesive working environment. Responsibilities
Responsible for opening/closing the department and assigning work
Issue staff assignments including special requests/projects, areas of concentration and preventative maintenance and deep cleaning
Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported to Engineering
Inspect assigned guest room floors and rooms to ensure cleanliness
Inspect public areas of the hotel and back of house to ensure cleanliness and maintenance tasks are completed
Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
Responsible for maintaining and updating inventories
Attend departmental meetings as scheduled
Assist with completion of work orders to ensure correct billing
Assume full responsibility in the absence of Director of Engineering and Housekeeping Manager
Qualifications
Must have excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Minimum of 1 year of hotel experience
Housekeeping and/or engineering experience at a supervisory level preferred
Must be able to stand for a period of 8 hours. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Knowledge of Opera and HotSOS is a plus
Bilingual preferred but not required
Flexible workdays and hours required. Must be available to work 40 hours per week
The Hotel functions seven days a week and 24-hours a day.
