About The Role:

We are seeking an Account Supervisor to join Zeno Group’s Purpose & Impact practice. In this role, you will support existing clients and lead efforts in new business opportunities. You will be engaged in a broad range of client engagements in the area of ESG and sustainability strategy and communications.

We are looking for masters of the craft, who are excellent project coordinators and team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate within the team, provide sound counsel and recommendations to clients, and drive results. You will work on a variety of accounts, in clients from industry sectors such as hospitality, food and beverage, CPG, financial services and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of strategic, visionary ESG and sustainability strategy and communications plans for clients, including supporting recommendations and substantive logic.
  • Contribute to new business processes. 
  • Develop and execute media relations strategies around ESG and sustainability programming and conduct outreach for programs/projects.
  • Drive learning and ongoing education with direct team and across agency through trend watching and general knowledge management. 
  • Foster and maintain relationships with client contacts and internal agency partners. 
  • Manage account budgets and staffing, contributing to forecasting and account profitability. 
  • Mentor, coach and support junior team members ensuring constant development of their skills. 
  • Provide strategic counsel and guidance to client, supervising junior staff members, and ensuring project and account success by keeping team apprised of deadlines and overseeing junior staff productivity. 
  • Research, interview, write, and edit media materials such as: news releases, fact sheets, pitches, message maps and other media materials as needed.
  • Secure, maintain and grow the business. 
  • Understand and apply key client information including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services offered, material ESG and sustainability topics to clients’ industries, key customers and competitors.
  • Understand key client industry issues relating to material topics, primary and potential competition and general issues facing the industry. 
Qualifications:
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) and, if hired, present proof or vaccination before start date. Candidates may request an accommodation due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief or an exception required under applicable law.
  • 4 years of experience in strategy and communications around ESG and sustainability is a must.
  • Ability to contribute to the creation of Purpose & Impact communications programs including drafting internal and external communications. 
  • Ability to synthesize earned media topics in the areas of climate and sustainability to develop highly effective and impactful new content for range of clients and industries.
  • A finger on the pulse of the evolving best practices in communicating around environmental sustainability and social impact as well as experience with specific topics like climate change, DEI, waste, regenerative agriculture, social inequality, food insecurity, etc. 
  • A history of success in supporting strategic counsel recommendations to clients around CR/ESG.
  • Collaborative spirit, results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines. 
  • Established relationships with key ESG/sustainability media. 
  • Excellent writing skills, solid presentation skills, experience developing and delivering client presentations. 
  • Personal/professional values that align with Zeno Group’s values: fearless, collaborative, entrepreneurial, kind, ambitious, inclusive. 
  • Proven experience in mentoring and developing junior talent. 
  • Proven media relations skills, specifically in the areas of ESG and sustainability.
  • Strong track record developing and delivering programs with proven results.

$65,000 - $94,000 a year
Pay range: $65,000 to $94,000 USD
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
