Zenlayer is looking for a tax expert to manage and optimize the company’s tax processes and operations! Reporting directly to our VP of Finance, the Tax Director will leverage their extensive tax accounting experience to facilitate the company’s procedures related to state and federal tax filings and returns, IRS audits, global tax arrangement and more.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of company federal and federal tax returns (both direct tax and indirect tax) and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms.
• Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
• Find opportunities for process improvement and implement necessary changes in company tax procedures.
• Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of company global tax arrangement and local tax filling for different jurisdiction.
• Establish tax team to manage company's federal and state tax return, global tax arrangement and other tax documents.
• Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
• Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
• Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects.
• Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role and at least 2 years of experience in a management role
• Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
• Extensive knowledge in global tax arrangement, such as transfer pricing.
• Extensive knowledge in individual/corporate/partnership tax, as well as tax operations
• Strong analytical, research, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Bi-Lingual in Mandarin Chinese is required
