Job Summary:

ZelTech is seeking a Technical Writer who is interested in joining a team of professionals providing direct support to the United States Intelligence community in Cape Canaveral, Florida. This individual will be reviewing project information and preparing materials and official documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Experience creating technical writing products for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to editorial and Government specifications and standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style. 
• Ability to edit and review documents in accordance with language, style, publication, format, classification, and source standards. 
• Provide support in the technical editing and production of products, reports, correspondence, announcements, memoranda, awards, briefings, and other documents as defined by the client.
• Provides analysts and management with expert technical knowledge in planning, coordinating, and the time-sequencing the steps required to produce a publication.
• Advises management, research analysts, and prominent government and non-government authors on electronic and/or hard-copy presentation media, audience needs, organization, style, format, and publishing requirements.
• Research topics and materials to ensure accuracy and clarity of products. 
• Analyzes information and uses electronic production to edit materials, coordinate graphic materials with other document elements, suggest layouts, and sometimes to print and disseminate final products. 
• Work with primary author to edit/rewrite products for organization, grammar, style, accuracy, consistency of technical data, etc.
• Provide videography and photography record keeping for all projects. 
• Participates in the establishment of Agency-wide editing standards which includes the integration of policy, coordination of how to best inform policy and format approaches.
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: 

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must have an active Secret or higher security clearance.
• Associate degree or higher in English, Journalism, or Communications and ten (10) or more years of work experience.
• Good understanding of scientific principles and applications.
• Ability to maintain a professional character in difficult situations.
• Develop MS PowerPoint presentations to include slide templates, graphics, animation, and notes.
• Successful background and drug screening check.
• Must know how to operate a video recorder and DSLR camera with multiple lenses. 

Preferred: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field and five (5) or more years of technical work experience.
• Military intelligence background. 
• Experience with DoD and/or DIA Style Guide and editing highly complex and sensitive reports.
• Experience with graphic design and/or Adobe graphic design software. 
• Experience Analyzes, interprets, and integrates information in a variety of forms in order to set standards for style and usage; plans and implements new formats suitable for intended audiences.
• Photography and/or videography experience
