Job Description

America’s leading supplier of domestic steel products is looking for a passionate and driven Graphic Designer located at our headquarters in Chicago, IL. The Graphic Designer will bring original ideas and a keen eye for detail. This role will report to the Creative Marketing Manager and will help create content that educates, informs, and inspires a diverse set of audiences about our teammates, products, services and the importance of U.S. manufacturing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy. • Collaborates with writers, ad agencies, and communications professionals on social media, website, presentations, and product marketing materials.• Formats graphics and adeptly manages the collection, processing, and proofing of various graphics files.• Introduces fresh and distinctive concepts to diverse omnichannel projects.• Crafts visually captivating content to complement social stories.• Ensures strict adherence of all creative outputs to brand guidelines, maintaining a high level of stylistic accuracy.• Supports the brainstorming phase and subsequently leads the realization of captivating internal and external materials.• Conducts light video editing to enhance multimedia content.• Organizes imagery and design files meticulously for streamlined accessibility.• Contributes to the design of visually striking tradeshow graphics.• Collaborates within a dynamic team of the industry's most enthusiastic, goal-driven, and enjoyable individuals!• Performs other duties as they might be assigned.• Regular, full-time predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, related field, or equivalent work experience• 2 years of graphic design experience at an agency or internal marketing team and/or exceptional portfolio• Experience with B2b marketing or industrial marketing, preferred

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)• Working knowledge of video editing and animation software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, etc.) required• High attention to detail• Organized, efficient and agile with the ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects simultaneously• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can flex to deliver a wide scope of creative asks• Resourceful and self-motivated• Curious learner, eager to take on new challenges, implement new approaches, and push beyond comfort zone

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical administrative / office environment: no exposure to adverse environmental conditions
