Graphic Designer Job Description
Chicago-based publisher seeks experienced Graphic Designer to join our team and create custom health and wellness digital and print products for employers
Objectives of this role
- Work on a wide range of projects and media, using Adobe Creative Suite to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs for health and wellness digital and print
- Obtain input from clients, Art Director, and Editors to ensure designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately.
- Work independently as well as cooperatively with the Community Health team to meet deadlines and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include several simultaneous projects.
Required skills and qualifications
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
- Three or more years of experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines
- Desire to continue building skill set with education and training
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Three or more years of experience in professional graphic design
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline
- Working knowledge Adobe Creative Suite, Google and Microsoft Office
