Wunderland Group is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Chicago, IL
This role would work with a group of writers, strategists, and designers, and would be onboarded and supervised/mentored by the art director, creative director, and senior designers. We are looking for a designer to assist with splashy digital presentations, motion graphics, layout design for longer format pieces like magazines or RFP responses.
The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of both print and digital processes, experience in executing marketing campaign materials (eblasts, brochures, social media, etc.); RFPs and pitches, printed new biz materials (magazines, fun fold-outs, or packaged gifts), visual direction for company-wide templates, brand standards guides.
Additionally, they should have expertise in Adobe CC-specifically, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (experience in other Adobe CC programs is a plus), and experience in web design & development (Wix/Squarespace) and any other creation tools that could improve team processes.
JOB TITLE: Graphic Designer
LOCATION: Remote Mon & Fri, Office Tues-Thurs Chicago, IL
DURATION: Full-time Direct Hire
COMPENSATION: $65,000-$75,000k salary (commensurate on experience)
What will you be doing?
* Knowledge of both print and digital processes; experience in executing on high-quality deliverables for business development and branding/marketing clients.
* Provide graphic support on creative projects.
* Conceptualize, plan, design, and produce a wide range of graphic and/or illustrative materials such as: pitch decks and proposals; printed new business materials (magazines, unique print pieces, or branded gifts).
* Lead design efforts for pitch decks, RFPs, and other designed business development materials.
* Visual direction for company-wide templates.
* Brand development and brand standards guides (logo design, web design, hard goods, spatial design, etc.); marketing campaigns (eblasts, brochures, social media, etc.); event collateral; newsletter templates.
* Maintain relationships with all production vendors.
* Other design responsibilities as assigned by national new business development and in-house agency team.
* Collaboration with team, work closely with strategy and copy to articulate messaging.
What does the ideal profile look like?
* Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communication, Marketing, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 3-5 years' post-college professional design and graphics experience
* Prior experience in production and knowledge of print processes.
* Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
* Motion graphics, web design (HTML, Wix, Squarespace) experience a plus.
* MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) experience required.
* Client communication and project management experience is a plus.
* Strong conceptual ability; extremely creative with the ability to depersonalize own efforts in order to incorporate input from others to affect project completion and organization buy-in.
* Ability to change course/direction on projects at a moment's notice; ability to reprioritize tasks and timelines.
* Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines; ability to work independently and to prioritize responsibilities; multi-tasking.
* Creative flair with top-rate conceptual and visual skills; ability to take concepts and ideas and transform them into images.
* Detail-oriented.
* Superior communication and organizational skills.
* Enthusiastic about becoming an expert on how to uniquely communication the company's vision through visual communication.
