Quality Technician 1

Job Description Summary

The Quality Technician 1 is responsible for reviewing products and processes during manufacturing to ensure the products being produced meet ZDMP and the Customers’ needs.

Reporting Relationships

The Quality Technician 1 reports to the Quality Manager

Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Skills

· Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining ZDMP’s Quality Management System, Internal, Supplier and Customer concerns.

· Understand ZDMP processes, customer needs and requirements to perform hourly inspections, product review, First Piece, Last Piece, and other inspection activities.

· Accurately inspect products using inspection, measuring and test equipment, along with visual inspections to properly determine the status of product and aid in the disposition of that product.

· Report verbally, and in writing, any product or process deficiencies identified during hourly inspections.

· Perform routine audits as directed by Quality Manager

· Good housekeeping habits and willingness to embrace the 6-S philosophy

· Clear communication and documentation skills with all levels of the ZDMP Organization. Able to work with, and train co-workers.

· Collect and analyze data to help the ZDMP Team identify and address issues to minimize the potential for reoccurrence.

· Ability to prepare and submit daily written reports pertaining to auditing and quality inspection to the Quality Manager using Microsoft office products.

· Ability to work productively under minimal supervision

· Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement.

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize and accomplish goals while working across departments.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

· High School diploma or equivalent required

· 1 or more years of Manufacturing experience

· Quality/Inspection background

· Microsoft Office products

· Experience with standards; ISO, IATF, and customer specific requirements a plus, but not required.

Pay: From $41,600.00 per year
