Description

Receive incoming shipments, verity they are correct and put away on the correct inventory shelves. Perform monthly inventory counts to maintain our system up to date and accurate. Handle any discrepancies and non-conformances.

The importance of this position is to ensure accuracy, minimize discrepancies and prevent errors in stock components so they are available for assembly to fulfill orders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain the warehouse organized and clean for safe operation
• Make sure purchasing and Production are informed of any inbound shipments
• Receive incoming deliveries
• Properly verify and document what is received against shipping invoices, purchase orders or other documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Examine the quality and condition of received items, reporting any damages, discrepancies, or defects right the way
• Maintain proper documentation on receiving documents for internal and vendor-facing interaction
• Verifying and receiving components from our Machine Shop
• Properly label received items
• Distribute correct packages or components to the proper recipient
• Maneuver pallets using hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklift
• Correctly store the components received in the appropriate location
• Coordinate with support on warranty returns or deliveries
• Constant upkeep knowledge of the parts used for our products
• Collaborate with Production, Sales, Support, Purchasing, and Accounting
• Address any issues related to shipments, such as incorrect quantities or products, damaged goods, or late deliveries until it is resolved
• Allocate, transfer, and print pick tickets for shipping on items received that will be re-shipped immediately

Qualifications

• Proficient in utilizing software applications such as Word, Excel, Shipping Software and Online Systems, including email
• Familiarity with international forms
• Strong written and oral communication
• Forklift Certification
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• Basic math skills such as counting inventory, verifying quantities, and calculating shipment discrepancies

Physical Demands:

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and climbing.
Must be able to lift and/or move items of 50 pounds and over.

Drug Free Workplace:

We are a Florida Drug Free Workplace. The company requires all employees to complete a pre-employment 10 panel drug screen; employment status will be dependent on ability to pass this screening and partake on a quarterly random screen.

Hours, compensation & benefits:

This is a full-time, hourly position. This position is on-site on a standard schedule between the hours of 7am to 4pm, with some flexibility when needed.

Compensation for this position begins at $19 per hour, negotiable based on experience and skillset.
