Piper Health and Sciences is actively seeking a remote Appeals Associate for a healthcare organization in North Carolina.

This person will support member and provider appeals in an insurance environment. The Appeals Associate will adhere to a Monday-Friday (EST) schedule and sit remotely.

Appeals Associates must be located in North Carolina, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming

Responsibilities for the Appeals Associate :

• Communicate findings of analysis and documentation to appropriate communities, administrators and appropriate leadership.
• Provide written documentation on cases in a timely manner.
• Answer member / provider questions via telephone calls and other inquiries.

Qualifications for the Appeals Associate :

• Associate's Degree or higher 1-2 years of experience in claims, customer service, medical office, health insurance or coding experience
• HS Diploma considered with relevant experience
• Behavioral Health experience, nice to have

Compensation for the Appeals Associate :

• Salary : $22-$23 per hour
