Description
The Z1 Motorsports Quality Control Technician [Q.C. Tech] will be responsible for assisting with the
achievement of the overall Quality targets as set by the Engineering & Quality Department
Management. The Quality Control Technician will report to the Quality Manager and will work closely
with the Quality Manager, Pre-Pack, Warehouse & Customer Service teams.
The Quality Control Technician will be required to multitask and have the ability to quickly redirect their
focus as product quality concerns arise. The priorities of the Quality team will be triaged based on
multiple factors and can change multiple times throughout the workday.
The Quality Control Technician is a critical position within the Z1 Motorsports team helping to ensure
both satisfactory customer experience and maintain the company’s Global reputation as a leader in the
Nissan & Infiniti performance parts industry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work either in a team or individual based environment to inspect, sort & rework automotive performance parts.
• Complete necessary Quality Inspection documentation.
• Perform Quality Control Audits at both Z1 Motorsports facilities as needed.
• Alert appropriate staff of quality issues as they are discovered and begin preliminary containment actions to prevent the outflow of nonconforming products to customers.
• Assist with non-Quality related Site 2 operations on a limited, as needed basis:(Pre-Pack Assembly assistance, Receipt & put away of shipments received at Site 2 & Site 2 Inventory Audits)
Requirements
• Ability to read and understand Mechanical drawings and extract critical measurement information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office experience [Microsoft Excel] – Necessary to complete required
• Quality Control documentation.
• Ability to clearly communicate findings during inspection audits in a timely manner.
• Ability to work with limited supervision as needed.
• Ability to work both in either Hot or Cold warehouse environments [30% of time].
• Ability to travel between Z1 Motorsports facilities [~20 min] as necessary.
• High School Diploma, GED, or higher. • Ability to lift 40lbs
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Experience/ exposure to Smartsheet web-based program. (Preferred)
• Prior Inspection or Assembly related experience. (Preferred)
• Automotive background and/or basic understanding in automotive maintenance (Preferred)
• Passion for automotive performance(Preferred)
