Relocation Assistance: AvailableQuality Control Manager (Consumer Goods/Fragrance/Flavor) DescriptionOur client in the consumer goods industry is looking for a Quality Control Manager to add to their team just north of Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will oversee Quality Control in a fragrance and flavor manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience ensuring the quality standards of raw materials and production samples for the manufacturing of consumer goods. To be successful, you must display a high level of integrity, problem-solving, and urgency while supporting the department through inspections, product testing, and root-cause analysis. Quality Control Manager (Consumer Goods/Fragrance/Flavor) ResponsibilitiesPlan & implement Quality Control initiatives to ensure a high-performance operation
Support Quality Control lab technicians in a manufacturing environment
Oversee the daily inspection of raw materials and production samples
Analyze test results and offer interpretations to the production team
Support with root cause analysis to identify and resolve production challenges
Develop & implement procedures to improve the quality of the manufacturing process
Maintain department documentation of testing procedures, methodologies, and SOPs
Oversee the documentation of test results, defects identified, & other key metrics
Report on production quality and nonconformance
Serve as a hands-on thought leader and mentor
Facilitate communication across production departments and senior management
Stay up to date on industry trends, developments, and technological advances related to QC
Quality Control Manager (Consumer Goods/Fragrance/Flavor) QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; Chemistry or related discipline is preferred
5 years of Quality Control experience in consumer goods manufacturing is required
Prior Leadership Experience Is RequiredUnderstanding of GC MS laboratory analysis is required
Tech savvy and comfortable learning new software & computer systems is required
Ability to work 100% on-site is required
