YWCA Tulsa is Hiring a Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator Near Tulsa, OK

Description

 Position Description: The Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator will support critical storytelling that improves organizational sustainability and supports significant growth in fundraising, mission impact, and program outreach, all of which will allow us to inspire more people to act on behalf of the YWCA, a mission especially critical to our times. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects at the same time. 

 Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and maintain a communications calendar that enables a steady cadence for proactive storytelling to multiple audiences. Support the marketing team with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns. 
  • Support the Director of Marketing in tracking marketing requests by coordinating with team members to verify information needed for the request, securing details, and managing the timeline for the request. 
  • Assist with social media and website content. 
  • Attend community outreach events to represent the YWCA. 
  • Organize and manage marketing collateral. 
  • Provide administrative support to the Marketing Director 
  • Manage press conferences and press coverage at all organization events. 
  • Build-out library of YWCA Tulsa photo and video content that showcases our programs, clients, and staff.
  • Performs related duties, as required. 

Requirements

 Required Qualifications: 

  • bachelor's degree preferred. Emphasis in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field preferred 
  • A minimum 2 years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, or Content Marketing, required; content creation and production experience, is preferred. 
  • Excellent creativity, writing & verbal communication skills are essential. 
  • A strong writer and creative storyteller; with extensive experience managing integrated communications initiatives in a collaborative, project-driven environment. 
  • Relationship management critical: builds and maintains trust and a cohesive relationship with all key stakeholders; ability to bring a strategic approach to delivering high-impact, multichannel campaigns. 
  • Experience working across digital media: internet, intranet, video, social media, mobile, direct mail, print media, etc. 
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Social Media Management, Office 365 and PC applications required.
