As a member of YWCA New Britain, and the Senior Administrative team, the Director of Fundraising and Communications, in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, will co-create and operationalize a comprehensive development strategy for YWCA New Britain. A critical part of the job will be identifying and engaging individual and corporate donors with set goals to increase donor participation. The Director will plan and implement community relations and fundraising strategies to meet the stated goals of the association including overseeing annual fundraising, special event coordination, fundraising campaigns, member and donor stewardship programs, and planned giving initiatives as well as serving as a guide and resource for agency marketing and communications. The Director of Fundraising and Communications will be an active participant in the management team, supporting all departments in meeting their goals. This position oversees an Executive Administrative Assistant. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency and experience with computer technology and communication/fundraising database; a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two year’s related experience are required.
