D&O / Professional Liability Claims Counsel

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the delivery of claims value proposition to customers and relationships. Interacting with clients in-person, virtually, writing, and via phone. First reporting, claim investigations/fact development, preparing and presentation of claim reviews, documenting claim files, completing claim file activities, retrieving and reviewing insurance contract language, and calculating/recommending loss settlements. Engaging in claims advocacy relating to coverage disputes on behalf of the company’s clients. Consistent conveyance of an exceptional customer experience to clients, customers, and business partners and adhering to Claims Department Standards while maintaining an appropriate volume of work product.

Experience with handling Specialty Lines claims and/or coverage including E&O, D&O, Cyber, Crime/Fidelity, EPL and Fiduciary claims or commercial multi-line P&C. 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience. Strong organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in deadline driven environment. Fluency in and understanding of litigation terms and process is essential. J.D. preferred and CPCU a plus.
