YWCA Columbus is Hiring a Director of Women's Residency Near Columbus, OH

Do you have a passion for helping others and working with adults in need of support? YWCA Columbus is seeking a passionate and experienced Director to join our Women’s Residency program team. As an integral member of the management team, this position is responsible for the day-to-day management of our resident’s housing experience, focusing on improving their community building, skills building, and recreational enjoyment.
Responsibilities:
1. Resident Support: Establish a culture for the Women’s Residency Program that the needs and challenges of the residents come first. Plan, develop, and implement the delivery of crisis services that address the needs of the clients. Manage and teach crisis intervention and de-escalation. Interact in a calm, professional manner with clients, volunteers, and staff. Model professionalism and problem-solving behavior for clients, staff, and community. Act as a role model to staff in the agency.
2. Supervision: Cultivate a culture of cooperation, collaboration, and an “all hands on deck” mentality. Instill a climate of appreciation and value for all personnel in the organization. Supervise direct reports to provide informed, quality and professional services to entire customer base, including clients, staff, volunteers, and the community. Interview, recommended for hire, evaluate, develop, and recommend for dismissal Women’s Residency Program staff according to YWCA policies and procedures. Provide individual supervision to and annual evaluations of direct reports. Implement a consistent system for orienting, training, and mentoring staff that includes completion of YWCA orientation and other required training. Work with front line supervisors to understand and implement their role as supervisors.
3. Programming: Guide and continuously evaluate the vision, planning, implementation and results of housing programs. Re-initiate a full calendar of programming in the post-COVID era and seek supportive funding. Develop and propose pilot courses to consistently improve the effectiveness of programs that lead to resident independent living. Ensure that the organization and individual programs meet or exceed internal and external goals, enhance the quality of life for our residents, and contribute to mandated performance standards and outcome measurements. Program Oversight: Monitor the program’s effectiveness to ensure that program is achieving its goal relative to tenants maintaining permanent housing, securing employment, and establishing stability. Conduct Quality Assurance reviews to ensure stated operating procedures are meeting the requirements of funders and accreditation. Develop new and maintain existing community linkages/referrals for mental/behavioral health, including partnerships with managed care plans as appropriate. Manage contracts with partners. Monitor resident health and recommend file transfers if a higher level of care is needed, in coordination with Property Manager.
4. Grants Administration: Work with the grants manager to find and evaluate grants to determine budget and programmatic implications. Establish and maintain systems to accurately collect timely data to achieve results driven decision making.
5. Leadership: Perform as an invested member of the YWCA leadership team. Participate in community meetings and engage with leaders at CSB, other community PSH providers, and leadership team members at the Family Center. Support the mission, policies, and procedures of the YWCA.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field required. LSW/PC required. LISW/PC preferred. Minimum of five years of experience working with the homeless population, mental health, and/or chemical dependency. Three years supervisory experience required.
