YWCA Central Maine is searching for a highly qualified individual to fill the full-time position of Aquatics Manager. This program management role is responsible for creating a safe, friendly, and encouraging atmosphere for participants through supervising aquatics staff and developing and managing high-quality aquatics programs. The Aquatics Manager reports directly to the Health and Wellness Director, working closely on administrative and management tasks.
The Aquatics Manager, in coordination with the Health and Wellness Director, will also oversee the pool and pool schedule including recruiting and selection of lifeguards and instructors, program development and marketing, swim lesson program coordination (registration and scheduling), and ensuring patron satisfaction. The Manager may also serve as an acting lifeguard and/or swim instructor to meet capacity needs and safety requirements.
This is a full-time, hourly position working 35-40 hours per week. Aquatics staff may be required to attend in-service training outside of regular work hours.
