Overview

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for Controls amount of material on hand by supervising perpetual inventory. Supervises employees who take periodic physical inventory and order items that have become depleted. Furnishes reports as needed to forecast estimates and schedules of goods in process and needs for future production or use. Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices. Leads and directs the work of other employees.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all aspects of business inventory.
  • Manage, create and schedule periodic audits.
  • Maintain SOP structure for inventory controls.
  • Develop and implement inventory strategies for a company’s products or services.
  • Perform analysis of data obtained from customers to create analysis.
  • Develops inventory strategies, identify trend, error, corrections, etc.
  • Manage inventory requirements to meet customer deadlines.
  • Establish inventory SOP for new, and existing customer, and provide recommendations to top management
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with cross functional teams (Operations, IT, sales, customer service and Safety & Quality) to review inventory report results.
  • Work with supporting departments, HR, Safety, LP, legal, etc. when needed.
  • Works closely with Facility head.
  • Perform time studies, confirm, and document productivity in the inventory analysis.
  • Must complete the proper training and be certified to operate a Scissor Lift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Establishes and frequently reviews developmental action plans that promote positive growth for the individual and strengthens succession planning initiatives.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and recommends promotion, wage increases and other performance related actions such as verbal and written counseling notices, discipline, and termination of employment.
  • Strong leadership skills including a collaborative, decisive, and engaging leadership style. Builds strong, trust-based, positive relationships with internal and external constituents.
  • Excellent communication skills. Expresses ideas and information effectively, both written and oral. Seeks out and listens to others’ ideas and suggestions. Provides clear and concise feedback to direct reports, peers and senior leaders.
  • Ability to effect change and implement new ideas to support business operations.

Qualifications

  • One to two years of supervisory experience
  • Three to five years warehouse/logistics pricing experience
  • Ability to drive long distances and/or travel overnight as required.
  • Ability to work shifts of at least (8) hour, and occasionally longer, (5) days per week.
  • Experience managing RFI/RFP responses
  • Experience engaging directly with customers on various project assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Highly motivated and able to complete tasks with limited management supervision.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Work overtime as required/ assigned.
  • Travel overnight as required.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.
  • Oversee the completion of assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures
