Duties:

• Performing venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain a blood sample.
• Preparing samples for laboratory testing and analysis.
• Adhering to infection-control and safety procedures in carrying out daily phlebotomy functions.
• Assisting with clinical laboratory functions as needed.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, including test results and notes regarding patient conditions.
• Providing a calming presence to patients and efficiently explaining procedures to alleviate any concerns.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent degree.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle nervous or distressed patients.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proof of COVID vaccination.
• Keen attention to detail and outstanding manual dexterity.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.
• Strong capacity to work effectively as part of a team and the capacity to work independently when required.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
