Tasks:

  • Collecting blood samples from patients following standard protocols and procedures.
  • Accurately labeling and storing collected specimens for further testing.
  • Verifying patient information and maintaining their confidential records.
  • Comforting and reassuring distressed patients during phlebotomy procedures.
  • Performing routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Liaising with lab technicians to expedite sample testing and result dissemination.
  • Reporting any irregularities or complications during sample collection to the concerned medical professional promptly.
  • Adhering to all safety guidelines, ensuring a sterile and safe environment for both patients and staff.

Criteria:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to calm distressed patients.
  • Proficient in using laboratory information systems and databases.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when labeling and storing samples.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean criminal background record/able to undergo background check
