The PREP Program Advocate will complete the day-to-day operations of the PREP Program (Postsecondary Retention & Employment Preparation). The position is responsible for all daily activities and programming related to and required by the Workforce Innovation Opportunities Act (WIOA) Title 1 Youth & Young Adult Services contract overseen by the Central Iowa Workforce Development Board (CIWDB). The PREP Program will support youth and young adults by connecting them to school and work opportunities while providing service elementssuch as tutoring, work experiences, supportive services, and financial literacy skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE/SKILL

• Bachelors Degree required; Human Services or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years related field, work, and/or life experience
• Proven ability to prioritize while simultaneously managing numerous projects and processes often under tight deadlines
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with others.
• Ability to convey information effectively through speech and writing skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE/SKILL

• Work Experience related to positive youth development, and or workforce development preferred.
