About the Job:

Youtech is looking for a talented Accounting Associate, who will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks Online and gain proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping of all transactions.
  • Enter invoices into the accounts payable automation system for approval.
  • Monitor invoices and follow up with clients for open invoices, including collecting revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Enter and review vendor bills accurately.
  • Assist with the preparation of 1099 forms and ensure all W-9 forms are on file.
  • Follow up with state tax agencies regarding notices.
  • Provide employees with tax forms and ensure updates are reflected in employee folders.
  • Assist in payroll preparation, including the PTO report.
  • Prepare weekly financial reports, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Handle prorated benefits when employees leave the company.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Maintain record-keeping and update vendor/client files as necessary.

Professional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Quickbooks Online.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Gmail (Google Docs and Google Sheets) and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
