We are seeking a dedicated Certified Peer Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will provide valuable support and guidance to individuals facing mental health challenges. If you have a passion for helping others and possess the necessary skills, we welcome you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your personal experience with mental health challenges to connect with and support individuals in need
- Provide peer counseling and mentorship to clients in various settings
- Assist individuals in crisis management and intervention
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Conduct behavioral health assessments and offer appropriate interventions
- Employ motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients towards positive change
- Advocate for clients within the healthcare and social service systems
Experience:
- Certification as a Peer Specialist is required
- Experience in addiction counseling, mental health counseling, mentoring, crisis management, crisis intervention, behavioral health, social work, or related fields is preferred
- Proficiency in utilizing motivational interviewing techniques
- Strong understanding of mental health systems and resources
