Seeking a Medical assistant to round with the medical provider to homes and nursing facilities in the Villages/ Ocala area.
Duties: Taking vital signs, rooming patients as needed, documentation, etc.
Preference given to : Certified medical assistant or CNA preferred but not necessary, and knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
Must have:
Reliable transportation
Speak fluent English and have strong computer skills.
Be committed to providing compassionate care of the elderly and excellent customer service skills.
Must be highly organized and have reliable transportation.
- Review facility requests, need for visit, coordinate with provider/patients/ staff.
- Interview patients, records vital signs, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s electronic chart.
- Proficiently document in patients EMR
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information is available prior to their appointment.
- Maintain accurate medication list.
- Check telephone messages and return calls to patients, physicians, and or pharmacies.
- Triage and process messages/request from patients and staff to provider.
-Schedule patient's appointments as well as follow up appointments when needed.
-Communicate by email, phone, text and fax
-Gathering all necessary patient paperwork and history
-Communicate with facility staff and patient family members to maintain good working relationships and facilitate continuity of care

Mondays 8:30am-2pm (Oxford, FL)
Thursdays 8:30am-12:30pm (SW Ocala)
$15 hour - 1099 position
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week
