MACHINE OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operator needed for Utah’s only custom spring & wire form manufacturer. Spring/wire machines are designed specifically to produce springs such as compression, extension, and torsion springs. Wire Forming equipment is used to form wire into a variety of shapes and sizes. Both types typically use a process to uncoil raw wire material from a spool and run it through a series of wheels to straighten the wire before it is formed into shapes or made into coiled springs.
Operators and assistants are responsible for set-ups, tool change-outs, and machine inputs to program the sequence of operations, etc.
MACHINE OPERATOR JOB DUTIES:

• Cleaning and maintaining wire forming equipment and tooling, assist with set-ups, production runs and tear down.
• Handle stock wire coils, remove and replace stock from inventory, and learn the man-machine user interface.
• This person will be able to advance himself/herself to a machine operator based on their dependability, willingness to learn and attitude for hard work.
• Job also entails work in other areas on production floor to meet customer requirements and deliveries as needed.
• Work involves some heavy lifting (40 lbs.), standing and sitting.

MACHINE OPERATOR JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• If you like working with machines, have mechanical and math skills then this is an ideal job for you.
• You should also enjoy working with people, think about your safety and the safety of others, and follow directions.
• Be willing to train to get the knowledge and skills needed.
• Those with actual spring making and wire forming experience/background is a plus!

MACHINE OPERATOR WAGE:
$15.00 - $23.00/hr Depending on experience
MACHINE OPERATOR SHIFTS:
Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
