Summary Young Living is looking for a high-energy, self-motivated custodian. This position is responsible for performing various duties to maintain the clean and professional appearance of the Distribution Center. The ideal candidate has experience as a custodian, works well in teams, and can work independently. Maintain the Distribution Center as a working facility and a showroom for guided tours Clean facilities by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, brushing, disinfecting, or scrubbing all surfaces of furniture, furnishings, floors, doors, doorknobs, windows, walls, and any other surfaces Clean and maintain all restrooms, breakrooms, and meeting rooms regularly Operate a ride-on floor scrubber & cardboard baler Restock supplies as needed Assist the Recycling team with the recycling program Clear and clean all waste containers on a regular basis Work weekends and overtime as needed by facilities manager Competencies Relationship Management Customer Service Decisive Decision Making Time Management Training and Development Equipment certification Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of proper storage and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals Supervisory Responsibility This position does not supervise employees. Work Environment This job operates in an office environment as well as in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Some tasks may be performed outdoors during the summer or winter months. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use manual dexterity to handle, feel, and operate objects, tools, and controls and reach with hands and arms. This individual is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to occasionally climb up and down ladders Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is dependent on the shift. Hours will be one of three standard weekday shifts or a weekend shift depending on the open position. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent and three to twelve months experience as a custodian or similar experience. One to three years of experience is preferred.
