Position Overview:

We are in Miami’s newest Downtown destination, Vela and Vela Sky, Yotel Miami.

YOTEL/YOTELPAD Miami, delivers ergonomically designed rooms, that optimize the available space, and make smart use of technology to save you time and money. Our signature tech-driven approach is supported by switched-on, can-do Crew. Guests can check-in and out using self-service terminals, leaving more time to relax or explore the city. As a hotel located in Downtown Miami area, we are minutes away from an array of interesting sights and landmarks.

During the current situation, we understand that it is important that our guests and YOTEL Crew Members are safe and assured, therefore, we have implemented operation #SmartStay; a package of measures, resources and training that’s being rolled out at every one of our hotels worldwide.

We are seeking full-time Servers who can work weekday and weekend shifts. Our Servers are responsible for greeting and serving YOTEL/YOTELPAD Miami’s guests in a genuine and friendly manner. Working safely and within the strict guidelines related to COVID-19 prevention. Servers may be required to prepare beverages requested by guests and monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers; check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting alcoholic beverage service is questionable.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Must complete COVID-19 Prevention & SmartStay training.
• Adherence to all sanitation policies and protocols while embodying the Food & Beverage concept understanding how his/her actions and execution directly affect the guest experience.
• Interact with guests while obtaining their orders and enter POS for preparation.
• Full knowledge of the restaurant and bar menu being able to answers all questions regarding the menus accurately.
• Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment, work area, dining room and bar.
• Abide by all State, Federal, and YOTEL/YOTEL PAD Miami requirements pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages.
• Prepare workstation for readiness prior to opening and closing of each shift.
• Follow all cash handling and bank operating procedures
• Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules.
• While interacting with guests inform them of enhancements to their dining experience.
• In order to be efficient each server will restock items, return menus, and other equipment used throughout their shift so that the incoming shift is prepared for success.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
• Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Multiple years of serving experience with a strong cocktail knowledge base.
• Welcoming individual who enjoys genuine guest interactions
• Ability to multitask while maintaining a sense of calm
• Organizational skills are strongly preferred
• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
