York Nursing and Rehabilitation is actively hiring Recreation Aide! Interview with us today!
Provides therapeutic activities to our residents at the facility. The designed to meet the interests and improve the physical, mental and psycho-social well being of each resident. Assist residents to maintain lifelong interests and self-esteem while promoting physical, cognitive and emotional functioning. Provide activities in accord with facility policies and consistent with state and federal regulations. Carry out individual and group activities. Assist residents as needed. Complete documentation for assigned residents. Actively prepare for and participate in plan of care meetings. Seek and identify ways to support individual residents’ needs and preferences, and communicate information to immediate supervisor and other caregivers as appropriate. Adapt activities to match the cognitive and physical functional levels of the residents.
Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Skills:
Knowledge of and respect for the rights, dignity and individuality of each resident.
Ability to demonstrate honesty and integrity at all times.
Musical ability a plus, specifically experience in playing a musical instruments.
Experience:
Minimum of one year experience providing therapeutic activities to individuals in a health care setting; two years experience preferred.
