Description
York Barbell is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to generate more revenue through lead generation, relationship building, cold calling, and other avenues to find new customers.
This position requires knowledge of the fitness equipment we sell and equipment in the industry, which we can train. Ideally, the candidate will work 3 weeks out of the month in our offices, and have 1 week in the field. We want someone that is familiar with the gym environment, and hungry and enthusiastic about it. Ability to multi-task, have an organized approach to finding new customers is a must. This position is full time, weekday hours and days.
Requirements
The position requires the ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from customer in both oral and written form. Must have skills necessary to question, listen and present products to current and customers. Ability to apply mathematical calculations for pricing, and ability to handle multiple requests from customers as well as understand the issues at hand. Reasoning abilities to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Proficient computer skills, with knowledge in using various office software and programs for correspondence, sales analysis as well as for internal communications. Must be able to work in a “team” environment. Weekend work on occasion will be required. Ability to lift 50lbs on occasion is required.
Experience
Prospective candidates will have 2 years of sales experience. Knowledge of the fitness industry is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but may be substituted with experience.
