Yolo Federal Credit Union is Hiring a Senior Member Relationship Specialist Near Woodland, CA

We are recruiting for a Senior Member Relationship Specialist (33.5 hours per week) to assist our members with their financial needs. If you are a well-rounded, detail-oriented person who desires variety in their day-to-day work life and is passionate about providing top-notch service, then this position may be for you. Primary responsibilities are to provide high-quality service by identifying members’ financial needs and recommending solutions that will help them achieve financial success. The Sr. MRS will assist members in performing teller transactions, opening new accounts and loans, and assisting members through our digital channels as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:To play a vital role in helping our members achieve financial success and build wealth. Provide excellent member service through building genuine relationships with members, learning their financial goals, and finding ways to benefit them.

  • Primary responsibilities are to provide high quality member service by conducting credit union transactions in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Possess an effective knowledge of our products and services with special emphasis on how each will improve our members’ financial success.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as coin sorter, night depository, Electronic Cash Recycler (ECR) and Automated Teller machine (ATM).
  • Comply with all applicable procedures, policies and regulations and ensure proper customer identification and verification of signatures.
  • Provide exceptional member service and build relationships through activities which include but are not limited to new accounts, soliciting, accepting and processing loan applications, and conducting other member account transactions in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Effectively conduct needs-based interviews with current and potential members to educate them on products and services that may improve their financial well-being.
  • Process loan requests for all consumer loans (via in person or online) and offer insurance products such as credit insurance and GAP insurance, when appropriate.
  • Complete documentation and finalize loans while ensuring that the member understands the terms of the loan agreement and their debt responsibilities. Ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to lending policy.
  • Contact members, businesses, and community organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
  • Adhere to all security and safety policies and procedures, including following safety protocol while entering or exiting a branch. Effectively conduct needs-based interviews with current and potential members to cross-sell appropriate products and services.

Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.

Prior consumer loan origination and funding experience preferred, but not required. Prior experience working in a financial institution is a must.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required along with a minimum of one year experience in a customer service related role. Prior working experience with a credit union or financial institution preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating policies and procedure manuals. Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence and reports as well as effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to the public, members, and other employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to effectively count currency and negotiable instruments and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
