YMCA is Hiring a Housekeeping staff Near Chattanooga, TN
Are you interested in keeping our North River (Hixson) YMCA neat and tidy, to ensure the comfort and safety of others? As a Housekeeper, and an important member of our team, you will perform all pf the day-to-day cleaning services.
This part-time EVENING & WEEKEND position is now available and could be a great fit for you!
RESPONSIBILITES :
- Ensure the cleanliness of the facility by completing the daily checklist
- Record and report repairs as needed and report hazardous conditions to supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Related experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents, and document work as needed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties of job
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work with cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms
- Ability to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust
- Must be detail oriented and exhibit a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to perform duties which may include : semi reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; carrying, working in narrow and / or confining spaces : underground, overhead, and at ground level;
twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and / or back
