YMCA Southcoast is Hiring a Custodial/Maintenance Near River, MA
Perform routine janitorial and grounds maintenance duties to ensure cleanliness of facilities.
Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
Essential Functions:
- Cleans and sanitizes sinks, toilets, showers, restrooms, and other assigned areas.
- Cleans and maintains floors, walls, windows and other surfaces as required.
- Empties waste containers, recycles as appropriate.
- Dusts, washes, mops, shovels; maintain plants as required.
- Replaces disposable items including soaps, paper towels, sanitizers.
- Responds to clean up emergencies as required.
- Observes and reports building health and safety issues.
- Perform grounds keeping maintenance as required including snow removal.
- Assist in setting up for special events.
- Six months or more related experience preferred. Monday through Friday with occasional weekends required.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, report and record information.
- Ability to communicate areas of concern regarding safety and cleanliness; read and
