Information about this position includes the following:

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES / POSITION RESPONSIBILITY

Assist with planning and implementing different activities for a 2-4-year-old class in an active preschool environment. Develop and administer fun small group activities that include music, games, arts and crafts, and more. Follow minimum standards set through DFPS and follow the curriculum provided by the branch. Safety is first - responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including emergency procedures as necessary. Assist with set up and clean-up of the classroom daily.Must be able to communicate with children, parents, and volunteers positively and effectively. They are required to chaperone class field trips. Willingly attend staff meetings and in-service training (minimum 20 hours per year). Must be able to follow the YMCA Minimum Standards in dealing with day-to-day operations of the preschool program. Follow policies regarding dress code and appropriate conduct.
