Are you fun, creative and like to work with children ages 5-13 years old? Are you able to foster a learning environment that helps children grow to their best potential? If so, we would love for you to join our Out of School time team at the Boroughs Family Branch YMCA.

Out of School Time Educators work directly (year round) in person with children in our branch supporting the students as they navigate the school year. Staff will ensure that children are actively participating in all aspects of learning programming of area school systems.

Schedule: School Year: August 29th, 2023 - June 14th, 2024.

Mondays - Fridays 2:30pm-6:30pm during the school year.

**Opportunities for more hours on vacation weeks.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old and
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and one of the following:
• 9 months of supervised work experience or one practicum (this can be reduced to 6 months with high school diploma or equivalent; to 3 months with Associate’s or Bachelor’s)
• 3 months of supervised work experience with school age children and 3 credits or equivalent in Child Growth and Development, Human Development, Elementary Education, or Related field
• 6 months of work experience with school age children including a minimum of 3 months of supervised work experience with school age children
• 9 months of work experience with school age children, including at least 3 months of supervised work experience with any age group of children

** In order for experience to be counted, it must be a minimum of 12 hours per week or if less than 12 hours a week, every block of 50 hours counts for one month.

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $16.00/hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
