Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch is Hiring an Entry Level Behavioral Health Professional Near Billings, MT

This position involves working evenings (after 2:00 pm) and weekends with 2 weekdays off.

A day in the Life of a Mental health worker

  • You will build and maintain therapeutic relationships with our residential clients. By maintaining appropriate and healthy boundaries and being an ear to youth when they are struggling.
  • You will provide structure and mentorship to our clients. By providing constant supervision, ensuring safety for all YBGR Clients and staff, and maintaining a structured and stable schedule for the clients we serve
  • You will work with a team to execute a plan of treatment for 10-12 clients. Each week you will meet on Wednesdays with members of your treatment team and brainstorm interventions for our clients.
  • You will help facilitate therapeutic groups with members of your treatment team. By assisting Clinical Program Therapist’s and Recreational Therapist with groups and activities
  • You will be thorough in your documentation of our clients’ behaviors and routines. By using excellent time management techniques and prioritizing documentation we will be able to provide accurate and appropriate interventions for each client.
  • You will remain coachable, and open minded. We need resilient staff; tough days will happen in this position but having the resiliency to show up every day and give our youth your best is crucial for the success of our clients and staff members.
  • You will be reliable, by following all call off and PTO protocols. By doing this it will help build better routines for our clients.

  • The willingness to work evenings and weekends.
  • Pass Background Check, at least 21 years old, high school diploma or GED, and valid driver’s license.
