Caregiver Essential Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily life such as bathing, oral care, dressing, toileting, and garment changes when incontinence develops, ambulation, and eating in a clinical setting
• Assist with setting up, serving meals, and cleaning up afterwards
• Provide exceptional personal care and assist with activities of daily living 
• Escort residents to doctor appointments and other social activities
• Supervise, assist or provide showers and baths
• Help residents with routine exercises as prescribed by the therapist
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents and act responsibly in cases of emergency
• Provides an environment that promotes respect for the client’s privacy and property

Caregiver Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong ethics
• The ability to meet the physical and emotional needs of the client
• Previous experience encouraged but not required
• Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
• 18 years old and above
• Proof of COVID vaccination
• CPR and First Aid certification encouraged
• Able to undergo a criminal background check
