Responsibilities- Observe and report suspicious activities or behavior
- Respond to alarms and security related incidents
- Report and document all accidents incidents suspicious activities safety/ fire hazards and other security related situations
- Investigate security breaches and conduct follow-up investigations
- Provide assistance to all visitors
Minimum Qualifications:
- Six (6) months experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting prior law enforcement public safety/first responder or military service; or one (1) year experience as a security officer or any comparable experience.
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent; or three (3) years’ experience as a security officer.
- Average to advanced computer skills with Google and/or Microsoft applications.
- Workplace violence and self defense training annually.
- Current valid AZ driver's license with DMV report on file or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers within 90 days of hire.
- Must be able to speak English communicate clearly orally and in writing; understand and use de-escalation techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of college level education courses in criminal justice.
- One year experience as Security Officer in a hospital or healthcare setting prior law enforcement public safety/first responder or military service.
