POSITION TITLE: SECURITY OFFICER
LOCATION: Prescott, AZ
REPORTS TO: Lead Security Officer
JOB SUMMARY:
Will ensure a safe, secure, and orderly operation of the gaming facilities. To provide our customers with the finest possible facilities, equipment, service and courtesy. Will become familiar with the Tribal/State Gaming Compact, National Indian Gaming Commission’s (NIGC) Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), the Tribal Gaming Code, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Title 31, and Departmental Internal Controls and Job Instructions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This job description does not constitute an employment agreement between the Tribe and the employee and is subject to change as the needs of the Tribe and requirements of the position change. The above duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position;
Will create a congenial atmosphere conducive to gambling;
Will provide gaming personnel and customers with proper security;
Will ensure that all money is safely transported and properly secured at all times;
Will enforce age requirements of patrons;
Will prepare and maintain a daily log/and or reports of all activities;
Will patrol the gaming areas, including outside parking lots and immediate grounds;
Will assist Law Enforcement authorities as necessary;
Will attend training sessions and departmental security meetings as required;
Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License and be insurable under the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe’s Auto Insurance Carrier;
Will perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED;
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to the Tribe/Gaming’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment;
Must pass a background security check prior to and during the course of employment with the Tribe/Gaming Agency in order to meet the Tribal-State Compact and/or Tribal Gaming Ordinance;
Must adhere to all Tribal/Gaming Agency Personnel Policies and Procedures;
Must possess strong customer service skills;
Must be able to remain alert, attentive, and focused at all times;
Must be able to write clearly and concisely;
Must successfully complete training in self-defense and handcuffing;
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality;

Must be able to lift, and periodically carry, up to 75 lbs.;
Must be able to work flexible hours.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Prefer at least six months of security guard experience preferred.
