As our Physical Therapy Tech at Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center you will help the professional staff of occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech pathology in the delivery of patient care activities to allow patients to resume their normal activities.
Every day you will prepare patients for treatment and assists in patient treatment while demonstrating respect towards patients, family members and care givers. You will be expected to take the initiative to perform preliminary review of patient statuses, including communication with nursing staff in order to advise therapist(s) of potential change in patient's condition or situation.
To be successful in this role, you must maintain a basic knowledge of therapeutic exercise programs, utilize safe patient handling skills and manage your time effectively.

Responsibilities- Prepares patients for treatment
- Maintains a basic knowledge of how to set up and use equipment
- Communicates effectively and respectfully
- Previous experience working in a patient care environment.
- High school diploma or GED
- American Heart Association BLS
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities/tasks in a fast paced environment. Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Google Workspace.
Preferred
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred.
- Acute care setting and/or exercise field experience
