Title: Engineering Technician

Department: Engineering

Reports to: Quality Manager/Engineering Manager/Production Manager

Consults with: Quality/Engineering/Production

Overall Responsibility: Creating and maintaining Supplemental Work Instructions and aiding in production

Compensation: $20-25/hr dependent on experience. Great opportunity for growth and advancement dependent on performance.

Hours: 6am-2:30pm M-F

Responsibilities:

· Work alongside engineers to design and test solutions to a variety of technical problems.

· Work alongside production to take photos and notes of production processes to create supplemental work instructions (SWI)

· Editing, verifying, and maintaining existing instruction documents as needed

· Consult with engineers, collect and input data, and track progress on engineering projects

· Create, draft, or edit 3D CAD models for production, production tools, prototypes, gauges, templates, etc.

· Requires working “hands-on” with manufacturing work force

Required Skills:

· Able to work in a collaborative, team environment

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

· Experience working with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) and 3D printing software and hardware preferred

· Knowledge of GD&T and common machining practices preferred

· Proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).

· Comprehension of process sheets.

· Proper use of safety equipment.

· Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
